Preliminary space-planning, content, and thematic concepts were developed as part of an NEA grant request for Jumpin’ with the Big Bands, a Smithsonian-backed exhibit showcasing the Swing Era.

Spokane’s Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture, accredited by the American Association of Museums and a Smithsonian affiliate, maintains collections of art, regional history, and American Indian materials.
